Product Development
Create and evolve digital products for startups and global brands, often across multiple projects at once.
Build web and mobile apps using TypeScript, React, Next.js, React Native, and Node.js.
Design and implement APIs and serverless infrastructure.
Build scalable interfaces connected to headless CMS and prototype AI features (LLMs, agents, RAG) when the project calls for it.
Craft & Quality
Implement UIs from scratch with real attention to detail across screen sizes.
Review, refactor, and test AI-generated code before it ships - that's on you, not the AI.
Write and maintain tests where they genuinely add value.
Document technical decisions proactively.
Participate in code reviews as both reviewer and author.
Collaboration & Ownership
Turn ambiguous client briefs into actionable specs that you and your tools can execute.
Work closely with PMs, designers, and other devs on tight timelines.
Support less experienced developers, particularly around using AI with judgment.
Push back in the design process when you have a better technical idea.
Ability to turn a brief or a Figma file into a clear execution plan, asking the right questions before writing code.
Fluent use of AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) in your daily workflow. You have opinions on what works and what doesn't.
Judgment to review and verify code (yours or AI-generated) before it reaches production.
Solid command of TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js, with real experience shipping in at least two different codebases.
Speed to ramp up on an unfamiliar repo and become productive quickly.
Intermediate English, spoken and written.
Comfort with ambiguity and context-switching between clients.
Experience with React Native in production apps.
Experience integrating LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI), RAG, MCP, or agents in a real product β not just demos.
Previous experience at an agency or consultancy.

The Visual Product Designer at Aerolab is a hands-on, versatile designer with a strong emphasis on conceptualization, experimentation, and visual quality. They excel in building digital experiences, developing brand identities, and constructing robust design systems.
They oversee visual decision-making across projects, collaborate effectively with designers, PMs, and developers, and find great excitement in crafting visual stories that make an impact. They're also fluent in generative AI tools, naturally weaving them into exploration, ideation, and production to push creative boundaries.
Reports directly to the Head of Design and works alongside the Design team, Developers, and Project Managers.

Visual Quality & Craft
Define art direction and advance existing visual themes and guidelines.
Prioritize pixel-perfect quality in all deliverables.
Generate different style proposals, mood boards, sketches, mockups, and prototypes for digital products and websites.
Leverage generative AI tools (Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, and others) as part of the creative process, from early ideation to visual production.
Oversee the visual execution of the project, providing new perspectives, inspiration, best practices, and practical improvement solutions.
Ensure designs and processes meet client objectives and expectations.
