Your job responsibilities include

  • Project Leadership and Responsibility
    Lead up to 3 projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality deliverables and effective process monitoring.
    Conduct regular progress reviews and collaborate with the team during execution when needed.
    Lead strategic discussions and client interactions while maintaining an MVP and agile mindset to validate project and business priorities.
    Participate in all client project ceremonies, ensuring clear communication about design decisions and progress. 
  • Management and Development
    Develop team members' skills through execution monitoring and continuous technical feedback.
    Support squad designers with daily challenges while sharing knowledge and design best practices.
    Monitor and nurture the wellbeing and motivation of squad members in partnership with the Director.
    Guide the career development of squad members, working with the Director to enhance team performance and provide input on training, promotions, and personnel decisions.
    Design and refine squad ceremonies to ensure they're effective and purposeful.
  • Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
    Work closely with project managers, developers, and designers to deliver high-quality products.
    Contribute insights on project estimates and new assignments.
    Coordinate with external technical teams when needed, defining priorities, requirements, and shared practices.
    Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
    Uphold Aerolab's quality standards and best practices.

Job requirements

What do we expect from you?

  • At least 5 years of experience working as a UX/UI Designer.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI design processes and project management. Ideally, at least 1 year of management experience.
  • Advanced English proficiency for effective communication with clients, auditors, agencies, and other Aero stakeholders.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and clients from Latin America or the US, plus strong communication skills.
  • Passion for digital products, empathy, and a keen eye for interface design.
  • Decision Making: Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate options based on Aerolab's priorities.
  • Public Speaking and Communication: Ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively, with purposeful communication that achieves specific objectives. Strong assertiveness in making requests and offering assistance. Skill in planning and executing important conversations.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Drive to tackle challenges, implement improvements, own results, and innovate new solutions.
  • Feedback: Skill in delivering thoughtful, constructive feedback with actionable suggestions and careful consideration of delivery.
